What Is CPC Module 2?
CPC Module 2 – Case Study Theory Test
CPC Module 2 is the Case Study part of the Driver CPC Initial Qualification.
It is a computer-based theory test that uses real-life situations you may encounter as a professional LGV or PCV driver.
The test is designed to assess your ability to apply your knowledge to practical driving situations.
How Long Does the CPC Module 2 Test Take?
The CPC Module 2 test can take approximately 30 minutes, although you have up to 90 minutes available to complete the test.
The test covers 7 subject areas, with each section containing a number of questions based on realistic professional driving situations.
The test has a maximum score of 50 marks.
Do I Need to Pass CPC Module 2 Before Module 4?
Yes. You must pass the relevant CPC Module 2 theory test before taking CPC Module 4.
In other words, the theory element needs to be completed successfully before you move on to the practical CPC Module 4 test.
We can organise your CPC Module 2 test alongside your LGV theory and Hazard Perception tests, where appropriate, helping make the process more convenient.
To apply for the Driver CPC Module 2 theory test, you need to have the appropriate provisional entitlement for the category in which you are taking your test.

CPC Module 4
Practical Demonstration Test
CPC Module 4 is the practical part of the Driver CPC Initial Qualification.
The test takes place at a DVSA test centre and involves a practical demonstration where you will need to answer questions and demonstrate your knowledge and ability in relation to vehicle safety and professional driving.
What Is the CPC Module 4 Pass Mark?
To successfully complete CPC Module 4, you need to achieve the required score across the different sections of the test.
The current test is assessed across 5 parts, with candidates required to achieve the relevant minimum score in each section as well as the overall pass mark.
